Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia
Therapies
We specialize in chronic immune
dysfunctions and have treated hundreds of patients with varying
symptoms. We are different from other
facilities in that we do not focus on symptom management, but
more on treating the underlying causes of the condition and repairing
immunity to restore health naturally. We develop a highly effective,
customized treatment program to heal your condition. Each of these conditions is complex and
requires a medical profession to develop a whole body protocol. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) The number of Americans suffering from the
debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis is estimated to be a quarter of a
million and growing. MS is a central
nervous system disease that is thought to be an autoimmune condition
generated by a virus, although definite causes are unknown at this time. The condition is characterized as a
relapsing and remitting disease that is aggravated by stress and an abnormal
immune system, which results in inflammation, damage and hardening of myelin
and nerve fibers that typically occurs in the spinal cord, brain stem and optic
nerves. Multiple Sclerosis symptomology includes weakness,
severe pain, loss of vision, and extreme pain, which are caused by slowed
nerve impulses as a result of damage to the nerves or myelin, which is known
as demyelination. Persons with MS
also suffer from balance problems, bladder and bowel dysfunction, difficulty
walking, vision loss and pain in eyes, depression, neurological dysfunction,
spasticity of muscles, and debilitating fatigue. Fibromyalgia (FMS) It is estimated that
approximately 3-6% of the U.S. population suffers with Fibromyalgia. The condition is often associated with
other immune disorders such as chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid
arthritis, or complex regional pain syndrome, and displays a vast range of
symptomology. There is no definitive
laboratory test for diagnosis and the causes of FMS unknown at this
time. It is classified as a chronic
pain condition and can be characterized by widespread aches, pain and
stiffness, tissue tenderness, fatigue and inability to sleep. Persons with Fibromyalgia typically
display several tender points where the pain tends to concentrate, although
pain can be present in any part of the body.
Many times patients diagnosed with FMS are confused with patients with
similar symptomology and are given a diagnosis of additional immune disorders
such as Multiple Sclerosis or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. |

Treatment
Programs Many times patients with
Fibromyalgia and Multiple Sclerosis are misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue
syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivity, thyroid condition, diabetes,
depression, or even arthritis. There is vast range of symptomology present in
these conditions as in other immune disorders, which further complicates
proper treatment. Our focus is to
treat the underlying causes such as the dysfunctional immune system and the
toxicity of the body rather than masking symptoms with pharmaceuticals. Therefore, while each treatment plan is
customized to the patient, the basis for all immune compromised patients is
similar. ·

Nutritional Supplementation Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Hyperbaric oxygen
treatments infuse the body with oxygen, increasing O2 levels by up to 1000%
in body tissues through the increased pressure. This oxygenation of the tissues allows better functioning of
organ systems and has been shown to lessen pain and increase movement and
flexibility in chronic pain patients.
Viruses are unable to survive in the presence of abundant oxygen,
therefore a significant “die-off” of viruses and bacteria is experienced when
undergoing hyperbaric treatments.
Hyperbaric therapy also acts as an immune modulator and allows organ
and gland functionality to normalize, reducing many debilitating symptoms. Because the chambers pressurize the
atmosphere, hyperbaric acts as a detoxifier as well. By forcing oxygen into the tissues through
this pressure, toxins, chemicals and other impurities are forced out. MS and Hyperbaric Extensive international
medical research, over the past twenty years, has demonstrated that
hyperbaric oxygen therapy will be considered an integral role in the
treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. In
many parts of the world, hyperbaric is considered a key component of an
effective MS treatment program. In
some countries in Europe, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is covered by insurance
and is the main treatment for MS. More and more medical
researchers have come to regard hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a potent therapy
for the successful treatment of multiple sclerosis without the side effects
associated with many pharmaceuticals.
Hyperbaric has been shown to reduce pain significantly, modulate the
immune system, increase energy, alleviate sleep dysfunction, and reduce
cognitive impairment. In most cases,
patients are also able to discontinue use of many of their
pharmaceuticals. Some theories suggest that Multiple Sclerosis could
be attributed to a lack of oxygen in the body, resulting in the lesions that
appear on the spinal cord of patients undergoing SPECT scans. Regardless of what the causes of MS are,
there is irrefutable evidence supporting the treatment of MS patients with
hyperbaric oxygen. Testimonials for
